Everton manager David Moyes is about to go crazy after a quiet summer in the transfer market as he is closing in on five players. According to The Times, Moyes could add Joao Moutinho, Alan Smith, Wagner Love, Stephane M’Bia and Diego Milito to his squad by the end of next week.
According to the report, the deal to bring Wagner Love from CSKA Moscow has already been agreed and Everton are ready to sign the player on a year-long loan. The Brazilian striker will have a medical with Everton in the near future and could make his move to Merseyside permanent next summer for £13 million.
Alan Smith is another who could join Everton. Despite Keegan’s insistence that the player will go nowhere, The Times believes that the former Manchester United forward could leave Newcastle for roughly £2 million.
Real Zaragoza’s Diego Milito could also make the move to Everton as he is still trying to get out of the relegated Spanish club. Another player who is close to finalizing a move is Stephane M’Bia for whom Everton have already had a £6 million bid accepted, according to the same report.
The most significant acquisition of the summer for Moyes, however would be that of Joao Moutinho. The Portuguese midfielder has been linked with a move to the Premier League for more than a year now and could finally make the switch if Everton are willing to pay between £16 million and £20 million for the player.
