Everton in for Carrick

Everton have entered the race to sign Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick, according to the Express.

The England international is yet to be offered a new deal at Old Trafford, with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season.

Arsenal and West Ham United are also interested in securing the thirty-four year old’s services and now the Toffee’s who have taken a number of players from their North West rivals over recent years, have thrown their hat in to the ring.

Carrick signed for the Red Devils from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2006 and he has since racked up over four hundred appearances for the club in all competitions scoring twenty-three goals.

He has five Premier League winners medals to his name and has also tasted success in the League Cup and Champions League while he has been capped thirty-four times for his country.
