Everton in for Vardy

Everton are set to make Jamie Vardy their number one transfer target this summer, according to the Mirror.

The Toffees are on the lookout for a new striker with January signing Cenk Tosun’s goal in the 2-1 defeat to Burnley at the weekend his first in five appearances for the club.

Vardy has long been linked with a move away from Leicester City, for whom he played a key part in helping them win the Premier League title in 2016.

The following summer Arsenal were interested in securing his services only for the former non-league star to commit his future to the Foxes.

Vardy has racked up two hundred and twenty-four appearances for the East Midlands outfit in all competitions, scoring eighty one goals.

Internationally, he has been capped nineteen times for England, scoring six goals and is expected to be part of their squad for this summer’s World Cup finals in Russia.
