Everton join race for Eredivisie hotshot

Daily Express is reporting that Everton are considering a summer bid for Vitesse hotshot Marco van Ginkel.

David Moyes is eager to boost his midfield options in the summer and he is keeping close tabs on the talented midfielder.

Van Ginkel, 20, has largely impressed for the Eredivisie high-flyers this term and he has become a target for a host of high-profile clubs.

Ajax and Benfica are expected to challenge Everton for the player’s signature, and it is believed that Vitesse are holding out for £8 million.

That is close to what the Toffees were looking to pay for Twente midfielder Leroy Fer, so they might decide to turn their attention to Van Ginkel instead.

The youngster has been in excellent form this season, scoring 7 goals and setting up another 8 in 28 Eredivisie matches. He was also handed a full Netherlands debut in a November friendly against Germany.
