Everton keen on Cleverley

Everton are considering a £6m summer swoop for Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley, according to the Metro.

Roberto Martinez is already planning for a European campaign next season, whether it will be in the Europa or Champions League, and he is keen to add more young, hungry players to his squad.

The former Wigan Athletic boss took Cleverley on loan during his time at the DW Stadium, and the midfielder notched up twenty-five league appearances for the Latics.

He has gone on to win full international recognition for England, and become a regular in the United side though he has faced criticism from a number of fans, which could persuade the champions to sell.

Former Toffees’ manager David Moyes was dismissed as manager of Manchester United on Tuesday morning after just ten months in charge, with Ryan Giggs placed in temporary charge and the Welshman is 8/1 to be given the job permanently.
