Everton boss David Moyes has revealed that the club would be keen on signing Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan.
But Moyes admits the Toffees could only afford an unlikely loan deal for the former Manchester United striker.
Everton is desperate to strengthen their injury-hit squad.
“If he was interested I would give him a home, yes,” said Moyes to News of the World.
“We’ve played with one arm tied behind our back with what we’ve got but I hope to make some additions in January. The ones who come in will be on loan.
“I think with those plus the players coming back, there will be a swell that will take us into the second half of the season.”
