Everton to hijack Greek Gilberto move

According to the Daily Mail, David Moyes wants to bring 31 year old Gilberto Silva to Everton.

The Brazilian was thought to be close to securing a move to Greek club Panathinaikos but Moyes is now apparently attempting to hijack the deal hoping that the desire to stay in the Premiership will be enough to tempt Gilberto.

Having failed to get Manchester United’s Darren Fletcher the Toffees’ have now decided to focus their attention on the out-of-favor Arsenal midfielder.

The price tag is rumored to be in the range of £4 to 6 million.
