Everton have made a move for FC Twente captain Orlando Engelaar, according to the Daily Mirror, in a move that will cost around £6 million.
The Daily Mirror reports that Everton have already met with Engelaar’s representatives over the possibility of a move to the Premier League.
Engelaar, 28, has impressed audiences with quality passing at FC Twente and has proved his capability to play at a higher level by performing well for the Netherlands at Euro 2008 so far.
German side Schalke 04 may look to provide competition for the midfielder, however reports suggest that the Bundesliga side may struggle to finance the £6 million wanted for Engelaar.
