Fabregas: I hope to stay at Arsenal

Cesc Fabregas insists his future at Arsenal is not tied to manager Arsene Wenger. “Of course we are talking about a very important person to me. I respect him a lot, but in football you try to achieve things as an individual.”

And the Spaniard added: “I hope that I will play football for another 10 or 12 years. I have no idea where that will be.”

Fabregas’ contract with Arsenal runs until 2014 but it is understood the club have offered him a new deal worth around £100,000 a week to ward of Europe’s big guns.
