Falcao to lead Internacional

Internacional have named Paulo Roberto Falcao as the new coach of the South American champions on Sunday.

Falcao, 57, who won three Brazilian Campeonatos with the club as a player and was an accomplished star with Italian club AS Roma, will have the task of retaining the Copa Libertadores.

“Reds fans are called on to come to the Beira-Rio stadium on Monday to greet their eternal idol and now coach of Internacional, Paulo Roberto Falcao,” read a statement on the club’s official site.

Falcao replaces Celso Roth who was sacked on Friday.
