hot-transfer-newsFenerbahce eyeing Van Persie

Turkish giants Fenerbahce are reportedly readying January bid for Manchester United striker Robin van Persie, Fanatik can reveal.

The Super Lig leaders are eyeing attacking reinforcements as Dirk Kuyt continues to be linked with a move away from the club and they are apparently ready to make a move on his compatriot.

Robin van Persie is no longer considered an automatic starter at Old Trafford and he could even be relegated to the bench when Radamel Falcao returns from injury.

Fenerbahce are closely monitoring the situation and they are prepared to offer the Netherlands star an escape route from Manchester.

Robin van Persie, 31, joined the Red Devils two years ago from Arsenal, and has since bagged 41 goals in 68 Premier League outings.

The veteran striker has less than two years left on his deal at Old Trafford and he netted three times in nine league matches this term.

Schar talks up Basel exit

Switzerland defender Fabian Schar has made it clear that he plans to leave FC Basel for a top European club in the near future.

The talented centre-back has become one of Europe’s most sought-after footballers and it appears a big club move is on the cards.

Schar has suggested that he is ready to leave FC Basel and has even revealed some of his possible destinations.

“My dream remains to have an experience abroad. I’ve always said that if the opportunity presented itself, I would take it, obviously in agreement with Basel,” Schar told Blick.

“I need a team with important prospects. I’d like the Bundesliga, Premier League or top Italian clubs like Inter, Milan and Juventus. I couldn’t say no. I want to hear all my options and consider them carefully.”

Despite his fragile age, the 22-year-old has already amassed 107 league appearances, while earning 8 Switzerland caps.

Inter confirm interest in Rolando

Serie A giants Inter Milan have moved to confirm reports linking them with a January move for FC Porto’s Rolando.

The Nerazzurri were unable to reach an agreement with the Dragons in the summer after the defender had impressed while on loan at Giuseppe Meazza, but they have since been linked with a fresh assault on the Portuguese centre-back.

With Rolando’s current deal at Estadio do Dragao due to expire at the end of the season, Inter aim to sign him on a cut-price deal in January.

The Nerazzurri general director Marco Fassone has admitted the club are keen on the 29-year-old footballer.

“He is a player we like and know well. He could return to Inter,” Fassone told Domenica Sportiva TV show.

Rolando has been training with the reserves since returning to FC Porto and no doubt he will is desperate to quit the Dragons at the earliest opportunity.
