Turkish giants Fenerbahce have completed a double signing on the first day of the week, having recruited defenders Gregory van der Wiel and Roman Neustadter.
Super Lig runners up hope to mount a serious title challenge this season and they have so far seen Miroslav Stoch and Emmanuel Emenike return from loan stints at Bursaspor and West Ham United respectively.
Fenerbahce have now announced the first signing of the summer transfer window as Gregory van der Wiel arrived on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain, while L’Equipe claims that former Schalke footballer Roman Neustadter will also sign during the day.
The new Russia international also comes free of charge with his contract at Schalke having expired few days ago.
And while the 28-year-old can successfully operate as a centre-back or central midfielder, Gregory van der Wiel is expected to succeed Gokhan Gonul on the right flank, as the Turkey international is expected to leave in the coming days.
