Ferdi Elmas will be spending the next three seasons at Turkish giants Galatasaray. The forward makes the move from Rizespor.
The player had already been in talks with Galatasaray a year ago, but negotiations then failed. This time, the one year remaining on his contract with Rizespor was no obstacle.
Elmas, born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, began his professional career at RKC Waalwijk in 2004, but failed to impress the team’s management.
A year later, as 20-year-old, the player moved to Rizespor where he would score five goals in 55 appearances over the last three years.
Elmas forms part of a player trade with Serder Kesci, Ugur Erdogan and Ugur Akdemir all making a move to Rizespor.
