Fernando Torres set for Atletico Madrid exit

Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres plans to leave Wanda Metropolitano in the winter, according to El Larguero.

The 33-year-old has another six months left on his current deal, but he has been unhappy by the lack of playing time.

With Diego Costa set to arrive in January, Torres is aware his first team opportunities will be severely limited and he, therefore, wants out.

The experienced forward doesn’t seem ready to continue playing at a high level as he is interested in moving to China or the MLS.

Torres has scored 22 goals in 86 La Liga matches since returning to Atletico Madrid, but he only started one league fixture this term.
