FIFA has announced that the next Ballon d’Or gala will take place on Monday January 11.

The ceremony – in which the Coach of the Year, the Puskas Award for best goal and the FIFPro World XI are also announced – will be held in its traditional home of Zurich, Switzerland.

Cristiano Ronaldo claimed the latest Ballon d’Or earlier this year, beating fellow finalists Lionel Messi and Manuel Neuer to the prize, while Joachim Low was named Coach of the Year after guiding Germany to World Cup glory.

FIFA is expected to publish the 23-man shortlist for the 2015 prize next month, with Ronaldo and Messi once more expected to lead the nominees.
