Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart appear to have managed to ward off interest in star player Filip Kostic, at least for the time being, according to Bild.
The Serbian winger quickly became one of Bundesliga’s hottest commodities, catching the eye of top clubs from England and Italy.
And just when it looked that Kostic would not be able to resist the lure of lucrative offers, he has decided to pledge his future to Stuttgart.
Namely, the Serbia international has penned a new and improved contract with the Swabians, which is due to expire in 2019, just like his previous deal.
However, his salary has been seriously increased as Kostic will be earning around €1.8 million per year under the terms of the new agreement.
This should ensure that he remains with Stuttgart beyond next summer, although his suitors will certainly be back if the winger continues with impressive performances in the Bundesliga.
