Filipe Luis can leave Atletico

Atletico Madrid are prepared to part ways with Filipe Luis. That’s according to Sport who report that the Brazil international has been told to ‘bring the money and go’.

The Spanish club are still keen on keeping their left back, but as his heart is set on a move to Paris Saint-Germain they are ready to succumb to his wish.

Filipe Luis has had an illustrious career, starting with Figueirense in his homeland, before trying his luck with Real Madrid B in 2005/06. He made 37 appearances for the Los Blancos reserve team, but the following four years he played for Deportivo La Coruna, and moved to Atletico Madrid in 2010.

Excluding an unsuccessful one-year excursion to Chelsea, he has been an Atletico player for seven years now, and he seems ready for a new challenge. He’s also reportedly keen on joining his compatriots Neymar, Thiago Silva, Dani Alves and Marquinhos. His wish for a move away has seen him demoted to training with the reserve team. Despite the fact that he turned 33 earlier this month, Los Rojiblancos want at least a figure between €20million and €30million for his services.
