Fiorentina 2/1 to qualify for Europa League quarter-finals against struggling AS Roma tonight

Fiorentina drew 1-1 at home to Roma in their Europa League last-16 first leg clash last week, and are hoping to get the job done tonight, with the hosts in woeful form. The Italians have beaten AC Milan and Inter Milan in the league in recent weeks, and in Europe have lost just once from nine games, beating Tottenham over two legs to make it this far.

As for AS Roma, the Serie A title-chasers have hit the self-destruct button. Rudi Garcia’s men have dropped points in nine of their last 10 Serie A games, and haven’t been convincing in the Europa League either. Home advantage in tonight’s second leg stands for little when Roma’s recent home record sees them with without a win in eight games in the league and Europe.

Fiorentina are confident of getting a result this evening, as the game could well go to extra time and penalties if it’s 1-1 in normal time. The Violas haven’t beaten Roma in any of their three meetings so far, but Betfair are giving odds of 2/1 for Fiorentina to take advantage of their opponents woeful form to go through tonight by any means.
