Serie A side Fiorentina have revealed the club are unlikely to do business in the January transfer window.
Viola were very active in the summer, signing no less than 18 new players, as well as bringing coach Vincenzo Montella.
Despite enjoying a bright start to the new campaign, the Artemio Franchi outfit were expected to sign a new centre forward in January after missing out on Dimitar Berbatov in the summer.
However, club chief Sandro Mencucci has hinted Viola will not be making new signings before the next summer.
“We changed a lot of players in the summer, 18 in fact, so we already did a lot before the start of the season,” Mencucci said to Sky Sport 24.
“We’ll evaluate what to do, especially ahead of next season, but we already have some very valid players.
“Luca Toni is doing better than we expected, Mounir El Hamdaoui is returning to form and let us not forget Adem Ljajic.”
Fiorentina have climbed to 6th in Serie A standings having taken 12 points from first 8 league games, but the team were unfortunate not to score more than 9 goals after dominating most of the games so far.
While Stevan Jovetic has already scored 5 goals, other three forwards have scored just one goal between them, which is proving to be a major problem.
