Fiorentina are attempting to sign Corinthians midfielder Ralf de Souza Teles, according to the player’s representative.
The Artemio Franchi outfit are determined to improve on their showings from last season and they have been very active in the summer transfer window.
Viola have already signed no less than seven new players, but they continue to work on bringing new footballers to the club.
The Serie A side are keeping tabs on Corinthians midfielder Ralf, and the player’s representative confirms the 28-year-old is pondering a move to Europe.
“We received a proposal from Fiorentina, but the move is not yet on the right track because Corinthians want him to stay until at least after the Club World Cup,” agent Andrea Costa said to Radio Blu.
“He would be happy to come to Europe, but the intentions of the Brazilian club are clear and the situation has become difficult. The Viola might have to wait until January.
“Fiorentina are making an enormous effort, but this is a very difficult negotiation process.”
The experienced midfielder has spent most of his playing days at lower division sides in Brazil, but a move to Corinthians really resurrected his career.
Ralf has made a total of 68 league appearances for the Brazilian giants, while he currently has four Brazil caps to his name.
