The Metro are today reporting that it will take somewhere in the region of £20 million to lure Stefan Jovetic away from Fiorentina, which could be too much for interested clubs Arsenal and Chelsea.
The Serie A side are set to fight tooth and nail to keep their star striker who found the net 14 times in the league last season at the club.
The 23-year-old certainly has a bright future in the game and a move to the English Premier League could be too good to turn down. However, with such a big price tag slammed down, the two London sides may have to look elsewhere.
With six goals in 16 appearances for his national side, Jovetic has shown that he can score goals at the highest level.
Both Chelsea and Arsenal are reportedly on the lookout for a new forward. Roberto Di Matteo’s side are looking to replace Didier Drogba, whereas Arsene Wenger may need to find a new goal scorer as Robin Van Persie’s future at the Emirates is still uncertain.
Jovetic is a talent and will attract attention from plenty of teams, but will someone take the risk on him as it could be an expensive move?
We shall see.
