Fiorentina’s Montolivo cools off Arsenal rumours

(GSM) – Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Montolivo has brushed off reports linking him with a move to Arsenal.

The 25-year-old playmaker has been linked with the Gunners since it was reported the Italy international had pulled out of contract negotiations with his current club in the hope of making a move to the Emirates Stadium.

However, Montolivo insists that he remains content with plying his trade at the Artemio Franchi.

“My contract is not a case that people need to worry about,” Montolivo is quoted as saying by The Mirror.

“I’m fine in Florence.

“There is no case and I do not want to talk about it now, I’ll do so tomorrow after the game, now I want to concentrate on the Faroe Islands.”

Italy have since trumped Faroe Islands with a 5-0 score line.
