The 24-year-old French winger Florian Thauvin is enjoying a stellar season in Ligue 1 with Marseille.
The Newcastle flop is currently playing on loan at Marseille who are thought to be considering a possibility to resign the player that left for England back in 2015.
Thauvin has made 34 appearances this season, grabbing 10 goals along the way and managing 6 assists.
The in-form winger has been awarded the March Player of the Month prize due to his impressive appearances which have caught the eye of Europe’s big sides recently.
La Liga giants Barcelona have been linked with a Newcastle player, as well as Serie A hotshots Lazio, who already made an offer to Magpies last summer.
According to the reports coming from the French publication L’Equipe however, the player himself is keen to remain in Marseille and seal a permanent return to his former club.
The only obstacle could be Thauvin’s high wages which currently stand at nearly €240,000 a month.
