Competition: Brazil Serie A
Market: Fluminense win
Odds: 15/8 @ Bet365
Hoping to jump up to second in the Brazilian Serie A, Fluminense will look to carry on their recent fine form and travel to Estádio Durival de Britto e Silva to face off against Parana on Tuesday.
For Rogério Micale’s Parana side, after securing fourth spot and being promoted to the Brazilian Serie A for the first time in nearly 30 years last season, the hosts on Tuesday have failed to adjust to life in the top tier. Coming off the back of a 1-0 loss to Vasco da Gama, Parana are still yet to pick up a win this season and have now lost six of their last nine matches in all competitions. Along with failing to score a single goal in their last three outings, Parana have only managed to find the net three times this year and no team in Brazil holds a worse attacking record.
As for Abel Braga’s Fluminense side, although the visitors couldn’t secure a top half finish last season, Tricolor have enjoyed a far better start this time around and will travel to Parana knowing that a win will see them jump into second spot. Coming off the back of a 0-0 draw with Grêmio, Fluminense are now unbeaten in their last three and have managed to record two clean sheets in those three. One man to watch is 23-year-old playmaker Pedro, the young Brazilian has six already this year and also has three in his last two.
