Brazilian side Fluminense have reached the final of the Copa Libertadores for the first time. Title defenders Boca Juniors were defeated 3-1 in the return leg.
At the Bombonera of Buenos Aires last week, the two sides held each other to a 2-2 draw.
After almost an hour without goals in Rio, it was in fact Boca to take the lead through former Villarreal player Martin Palermo.
But Washington equalised six minutes later, and goals from Conca and Dodo in the remaining time earned the home side a comfortable win.
In the final, ‘Flu’ will be playing against Liga de Quito who also make their first final appearance. Liga beat America de Mexico in the first semi final on Tuesday.
