Foden set for new Manchester City deal

Manchester City are ready to offer a new long-term contract to teenager Phil Foden, according to the Telegraph.

The Premier League champions are keen to secure the services of the midfielder and will also not send him out on loan next season despite him having featured rarely in their successful 2017/18 campaign.

He did manage to rack up five appearances in the league which did see him receive a medal, while he also played in the EFL Cup final victory over Arsenal.

He also played nine times for City’s U23s, scoring six goals to add to the eleven he netted for them last season.

Internationally, Foden was part of the squad that won the U17 World Cup last year and has since been capped for the U19s.

Manchester City won the league at a canter last season, finishing nineteen points ahead of rivals Manchester United in second and they can be backed at 4/7 to retain the title.
