Fonte linked with China move

Out of favour West Ham United defender Jose Fonte is set to secure a move to Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifeng, according to the Mail Online.

The Portugal international moved joined the Hammers just over twelve months ago after six-and-a-half years with Southampton.

He played sixteen times last season but has barely featured this term, making just eight league appearances with Winston Reid, Arthur Masuaku and Angelo Ogbonna ahead of him in the pecking order.

He made close to three hundred outings for the Saints and was twice named their Player of the Season and helped them achieve promotion from both League One and the Championship.

Internationally he has been capped twenty-seven times for his country with four of those appearances coming as they clinched the 2016 European Championships.

West Ham travel to Liverpool on Saturday afternoon, and the away win can be backed at a price of 12/1.
