Competition: Premier League
Market: Adebayor to join Watford in January
Odds: 1/1 @ Betfair

Watford are reportedly keen on signing free agent Emmanuel Adebayor in the January transfer window to bolster their strikeforce to ensure they can remain in contention for a strong finish in the Premier League.

The Hornets are also paying an interest to the rumours surrounding their two strikers Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney, and are looking for adequate cover should either of the duo leave the club. While having made it clear neither player is up for sale, Watford are still hedging their bets should the worst happen.

Adebayor could be a brilliant arrival for the newly-promoted outfit. The former Tottenham Hotspur striker, who has also played for Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid has proven himself in the Premier League before, and can be a prolific goalscorer if given the right supply.

His attitude has been the biggest problem, with in-house problems at Tottenham leading to his exit, so Watford will likely take their time over making an official approach. As a free agent, Adebayor is likely to have plenty of interest in January, but Betfair are giving odds of 1/1 for the striker to move to Vicarage Road.
