Francesco Totti set for Roma exit

Il Corriere dello Sport claims that AS Roma legend Francesco Totti will be allowed to leave the club in spite of his recent heroics.

The 39-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the season, but he has no intention of retiring just yet.

And seeing that new coach Luciano Spalletti does not see the veteran as an important part of his squad, the latest reports suggest that Totti will be leaving his boyhood club at the end of the season.

This will come as bad news for the club fans and the entire red half of Rome, who believe that the former Italy international still has what it takes to perform at this level.

His last two appearances for the Giallorossi would suggest that is indeed the case, with Totti first scoring a late goal to prevent Roma from losing to Atalanta, before netting two times in the dying moments of the game against Torino to make it 3-2.
