Eintracht Frankfurt have formally announced the signing of Lucas Torro, who has made the move over from Spanish club Osasuna. The 23-year-old played in the second tier in Spain last season, where he made quite the impression as an effective defensive midfielder. Torro had previously spent four years with the Real Madrid B team, which came before another successful loan move out to Real Oviedo.
Frankfurt have been a club on the rise in German football for quite some time now, managing to finish 8th in Bundesliga last season. They seem to have their sights set on becoming one of the biggest teams in the country in the next few years, and promising youngsters like Torro could help them to achieve that goal.
The deal in question will tie Torro down to Frankfurt for five years, although given the nature of modern day football, there’s every chance that a bigger side could come in with a big offer if he impresses over the next few years.
