(GSM) – Eintracht Frankfurt midfield Zlatan Bajramovic is likely out for the remainder of the season after team doctors discovered an Achilles’ tendon injury earlier this week.

Bajramovic, 30, has struggled with a foot injury this season that has forced the Bosnian international to miss six games on the current Bundesliga campaign. A similar injury forced him to miss all but six games last season for Frankfurt.

Team doctor Matthias Feld indicated that Bajramovic would not be available for the “forseeable future,” but speculation around the club seems to indicate he will be rested for the rest of the year.

The injury further complicates matters for manager Michael Skibbe, who is already without Ioannis Amanatidis and Aleksandar Vasoski for long injuries.

Frankfurt currently sit 10th in the Bundesliga and are set to host Werder Bremen on Saturday as they return from winter break.
