Fred pushing for Shakhtar Donetsk exit

The Brazilian hotshot Fred is once again hitting the headlines in England with both clubs from Manchester keeping a close watch on his situation at Shakhtar Donetsk.

Fred is expected to leave the Ukrainian powerhouse this season after five seasons spent at the club and he has already made it clear he wants to make a bigger step forward in his career.

The 25-year-old midfielder has been named in Brazil’s provisional World Cup squad and claims that final decision regarding his future will be made once the competition in Russia is over.

“As soon as I come back from the World Cup we will sit down, talk and look at the options.”, Fred told SportTV.

Shaktar Donetsk are reluctant to let their star player go but will face a strong pressure from around the continent knowing that a couple of clubs from France have also expressed interest, in addition to Manchester City and United.

Fred is under contract with Shakhtar Donetsk until 2021.
