Frey invites Gilardino to Genoa

Genoa keeper Sebastien Frey has invited his former teammate Alberto Gilardino to join him at Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

The veteran goalkeeper has recently made a switch from Fiorentina to Genoa and he believes that his friend Gilardino should do the same.

“Alberto is a friend, I love him and if he asks me about Genoa then I would tell him they are the right solution,” Frey told Il Secolo XIX.

“If he can choose Genoa then he wouldn’t be making a mistake. However, it doesn’t depend on me, the club makes the decisions.”

The Frenchman says that he plans to end his career at Genoa.

“Genoa? Years ago there was a project to get Fiorentina into the Champions League, I believe we can do the same here.

“This will be my last club, also because of the contract which I have been given. I want to give a lot, as a man and a player. I want to leave a mark.”
