Fulham and Villa to battle for Premiership duo

Fulham are ready to fight Aston Villa in the race for Robbie Keane and Michael Carrick, who could both be available in January.

After the poor start to the season, Mark Hughes will be given cash to improve his squad in January with the Welsh manager set to bid for Keane and Carrick, who are both tracked by Aston Villa.

Michael Carrick is still seen as an important part of the squad at Old Trafford but he could be sold in January in order to make way for the new arrivals, making his very interesting for the host of Premiership clubs.

Robbie Keane, on the other hand, have been on the fringes at White Hart Lane for quite a while and he should be available at a cut-back price, as Fulham and Aston Villa prepare to offer a chance to kick-start his career.
