(GSM) – Galatasaray maintained their one-point lead in the Turkish Süper Lig on Sunday with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Ankaragücü while Bursaspor held their ground with a 2-0 triumph over Manisaspor.

Jô fired the home side in front in just the fourth minute when he tucked past Ankaragücü goalkeeper Serkan Kirintili from inside the penalty area.

Kader Keita then extended the lead in the 37th minute with his fourth goal of the season to put the hosts firmly in control.

The visitors had some chances in the second half, but they never broke through before Milan Baros could make it 3-0 just before the final whistle.

Bursaspor, meanwhile, sit just a point behind the leaders after their victory that saw them score near the end of each half.

Despite enjoying the better of the play in the first half, the hosts only took the lead on the stroke of half-time through a penalty by goalkeeper Dimitar Ivankov.

It was tense at the Bursa Atatürk as Bursaspor clung to that narrow lead, but Ömer Erdögan put it away with a minute to go.

Bursaspor also have a game in hand on Galatasaray.
