Galatasaray eyeing Kagawa swoop

Turkish daily Hurriyet is reporting that Galatasaray are weighing up bid for Manchester United’s Shinji Kagawa.

The Japan international has largely struggled for playing time since the arrival of David Moyes and he recently voiced his frustration with his status at Old Trafford.

With the player eager to impress at the 2014 World Cup, he is looking to leave the club in January in search of regular first team football.

While former club Borussia Dortmund are expected to make a move, Turkish newspaper Hurriyet claims that Galatasaray are ready to pounce as well.

The Turkish giants are open to both six-month loan and permanent transfer, and they are likely to test United’s resolve with a January bid.

After showing a great deal of promise in his first season at the club, Kagawa has only been used sparingly this term, and has so far played just 45 minutes of football in the current Premier League campaign.
