Hamit Altintop is set to leave Real Madrid for Galatasaray.
The Turkish giants announced that they have opened talks with the La Liga champions over a summer move.
The 29-year-old joined Real from Bayern Munich ahead of the 2011-12 campaign, but failed to make an impact in his first season at the club, and is expected to move on again.
Samsunspor forward Simon Zenke posted a picture of him and Altintop on his Twitter account earlier this week, claiming that the midfielder was ready to leave Spain.
The Nigeria international refused to comment on Altintop’s destination, but it now appears that he is on his way to Gala.
“With Hamit Altintop of Real Madrid, cool guy, I am happy he’s coming to Turkey, but where? Top secret!
“I am sorry guys. He told me where he’ll be going, but I can’t reveal that to you unfortunately. But he’s 99.9 per cent sure of coming to Turkey.”
Altintop started his professional career with Wattenscheid and also played for Schalke before joining Bayern in 2007.
