Adriano Galliani says AC Milan will replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic with ‘a champion’, while confirming Robinho will remain at San Siro.
Milan fans have been rocked by the news prolific striker Ibrahimovic is on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain, just days after key defender Thiago Silva also sealed a move to the Parc des Princes.
Milan chief executive Galliani has promised to find a worthy replacement for Sweden striker Ibrahimovic before the close of the transfer window.
“A champion will arrive in attack,” he told Sky Sport24.
“There is time until August 31.”
There have also been rumours Robinho might be allowed to leave, with Santos keen to bring the Brazil international back to the Vila Belmiro.
However, Galliani insisted the attacker is going nowhere.
“I told the directors of Santos that I am not selling him and that he will remain at Milan,” he said.
