Paris Saint Germain striker Kevin Gameiro said he will use Zlatan Ibrahimovic as his inspiration this season.

Ibrahimovic has already scored nine goals in seven appearances since joining the French club from AC Milan and will be looking for more on Saturday when they host newly promoted Reims.

And Gameiro is eager to learn as much as possible from the Swedish striker.

“Since the start of the season, he (Zlatan Ibrahimovic) has played all the games and scored a lot,” he said.

“We have never played without him. We will see how it will be. He is a very important for the team and we rely on him to win games.

“You always learn from players like him. He has a lot of experience. He knows football very well. He has won every possible honour.

“I hope he will help us to bring some trophies to Paris. You learn simply by watching him, so now it’s up to me to watch him carefully and work hard.”

Gameiro also said the team must not take anything for granted against smaller clubs, as they look to maintain their unbeaten start to the Ligue 1 season against surprise packets Reims, who occupy fifth place after eight games.

“It will be a difficult game (against Reims on Saturday) because you never know what can happen in football,” Gameiro said.

“But we are playing at home and we hope to win this game and we will do everything we can to win it.

“They (Reims) have been promoted. They want to play good football and establish themselves in Ligue 1.

“In football, it’s never easy. Against a small team, you can drop points or lose games. We need to stay focused. We shouldn’t take them lightly, and must try to score as soon as we can to ease the pressure.”

PSG, one of only three teams yet to taste defeat this season, are in second position – three points behind Marseille.
