San Jose skipper Nick Garcia is keen on signing a new contract with the club, as his current deal is set to expire at the end of the season.

“San Jose is my first choice, tenfold over anywhere else,” Garcia told the San Jose Mercury News.

“It isn’t just about me, it isn’t just about me and my wife now – it’s about us and our child.”

“Family is important and we want to make it work here.”

San Jose general manager John Doyle admits they will do everything they can to keep Garcia at the club.

“We want to bring Nick back, that’s for sure,” said Doyle. “He’s doing well for himself.”

“It’s just making sure we come to the right numbers for Nick and for us.”
