Genoa confirm Criscito going to Napoli

Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has revealed that he has accepted an offer from Napoli for defender Domenico Criscito.

Napoli have agreed to buy 50% of the player’s contract for the fee of €6 million and all that’s left is for the player to agree personal terms.

“Napoli have shown a concrete interest, proposing a figure that is equal to his value, so we have accepted Napoli’s offer for Criscito,” Preziosi told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“Now the player and his agent have to agree terms with them.

“It’s just a matter of putting pen on paper to complete Criscito’s transfer to the Azzurri. It’s a dream come true for the lad, going back to his hometown.”

Preziosi then denied that Fabio Santacroce was involved in the deal.

“They have paid €6 million in a co-ownership deal with an option to buy the remaining 50 per cent of his contract for a figure that has already been decided. Fabiano Santacroce does not play a part in this transfer.”
