Germany are hoping to keep their World Cup preparations strong as they face Armenia in their last international friendly before the World Cup. Joachim Low’s men recently drew 2-2 to Cameroon earlier this month, but are big favourites to get a morale-boosting victory against Armenia tonight.
While they’re unlikely to put out their strongest XI, Germany boast a very talented crop of players throughout the entire 23-man side. There are plenty of young players looking to make an impression who have performed brilliant in their own respective division last season.
And as a result, Coral are giving odds of 1/16. While the result is primarily unimportant, Germany still want to win to have the confidence going into their first game. The Germans are third favourites with the bookmakers in win this summer’s World Cup, so there’s certainly a lot of pressure on their shoulders.
Armenia have little other than pride to play for tonight, but they will look to make it as difficult as possible for their opponents. They have Henrikh Mkhitaryan, ironically of German side Borussia Dortmund, who is Armenia’s key man. The 25-year-old scored nine goals and made 10 assists in the Bundesliga last season.
