Competition: International friendly
Market: Germany to win against Australia
Odds: 2/11 @ Coral

German host Australia in a casual international friendly, but the game will also be used by manager Joachim Lowe to capture some form. After winning the 2014 World Cup, Germany’s performances have been very inconsistent, which can also be blamed on the departures of veteran stars, as well as the difficulty to recover while still somewhat celebrating being world champions.

Their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign hasn’t quite gone to plan either, with dropped points to Poland and the Republic of Ireland, so they won’t be going easy on the Socceroos tonight. Lowe wants a performance to convince him that the club can survive without the likes of Philipp Lahm and Per Mertesacker, so they’ll be all out for the win today.

Australia, however, will be a difficult side to face. They are coming off the back of winning the Asian Cup this year, so will be full of confidence. Given the contrast in form between the two, the visitors could certainly make life difficult during the game, but Coral are backing the Germans with odds of 2/11 to win against the Aussies.
