Competition: International Friendly
Market: Germany and England to draw
Odds: 13/5 @ Bet 365
Germany welcome England to the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund in this evening’s international friendly, in a game that could see the two sides playing out a stalemate given the hosts have often underperformed in friendlies while England will be desperate to avoid defeat.
Germany are coming off the back of five wins from their last six games in all competitions, suffering only one defeat since May 2016. And given they drew their last friendly against Italy, England will fancy their chances of nullifying what is expected to be a weakened Germany eleven.
As for the visitors, England are enjoying a five-game unbeaten run in all competitions ahead of tonight’s friendly but will settle for less at the Signal Iduna Park given manager Gareth Southgate is keen to avoid defeat and have the players show good defensive resilience.
A draw is a result both nations would have settled for before the game given the changes made to their respective squads. As a result, Bet 365 are giving odds of 13/5 for Germany and England to play out a stalemate in Dortmund.
