Germany, Uruguay set for World Cup rematch

Germany and Uruguay, who faced off for third place at the 2010 World Cup, are due to meet again in an international friendly on May 29 next year.

Germany took the honours in South Africa in July, beating the South Americans 3-2.

Before their next Uruguay encounter in the German city of Sinsheim, Germany have also scheduled in a friendly against Italy in February ahead of the resumption of qualifying for Euro 2012 in March.

Germany are leading Group A after wins in their opening three qualifiers, with Austria and Turkey three points adrift.
