It is claimed in the Sun newspaper this morning that Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez says Steven Gerrard could be fit to face Manchester United on Saturday.
Gerrard has, of course, been ruled out of the England games this week following minor surgery on his groin. It was always stated that he wouldn’t be able to play in Liverpool’s game against Manchester United.
Should Gerrard line-up for the reds on Saturday many England fans will raise a quizzical eyebrow and relations between Benitez and Fabio Capello might just take a turn for the worse.
