Ghana starlet in high demand

Vitoria Guimaraes midfielder Bernard Mensah is widely expected to join a top European side in the coming weeks, O Jogo has learned.

The 20-year-old has largely impressed in his first ever season in the top flight and everything suggests he will be leaving for greener pastures this summer.

Champions League finalists Juventus were among the first to show interest in his services, but it looks as though the Bianconeri will not be making a concrete offer.

Meanwhile, Manchester United, Valencia and Monaco are reportedly keeping tabs, with Vitoria Guimaraes chairman Julio Mendes confirming the talks with an unnamed club are at advanced stage.

The Ghanaian footballer has been in excellent form last season, having managed 5 goals and as many assists in 30 league appearances.

That proved enough for the youngster to catch the eye of some of Europe’s top sides and he is now set to join one of those teams.
