Emanuele Giaccherini is ready to replicate his Juventus form for Italy at Euro 2012, insisting that he will do his utmost for the national team.
The 27-year-old was one of the surprise inclusions in national team coach Cesare Prandelli’s squad for the tournament, and although he has yet to make his international debut, Giaccherini is eager to leave his mark in Poland and Ukraine.
“Just being here as part of the squad is already wonderful. I arrived here with a lot of enthusiasm and am determined to do my utmost,” Giaccherini stated to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I am fine with whatever decision the coach makes. I just want to do my utmost for the national team, and I’m ready to do here what I have done for Juventus this season.”
Italy have been grouped with Croatia, the Republic of Ireland and Spain in Group C.
