Gianluca Gaudino set for Bayern stay

Sky Italia is reporting that Italian midfielder Gianluca Gaudino has opted to remain at Alianz Arena after all.

The 18-year-old was promoted to the senior side this summer and he in turn made three appearances in German Bundesliga.

Gaudino was then handed his Champions League debut in the midweek game against CSKA Moscow, but there were some serious doubts over the player’s future at the club.

Namely, the youngster currently has a contract until the end of the season and is believed to be a target for Italian giants Juventus and Inter Milan.

Nevertheless, Sky Italia has learned that Gaudino has decided to extend with Bayern Munich, with the official confirmation expected in the coming days.

After winning the first place in their Champions League group with ease, the Bavarians can now shift their focus back to the Bundesliga campaign, where they are 3/10 to defeat Augsburg on the road and further cement the first place in the standings.
