Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs has been called up to the England squad for their World Cup qualifier against Slovenia on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old will replace Ryan Bertrand after the Southampton man sustained an injury in the first half of the Three Lions’ 2-0 win over Malta at Wembley.

Gibbs has 10 caps for his country, having made his debut against Hungary in 2010, and will link up with Gareth Southgate’s side on Sunday.
